Course Title: Leadership in Assessment, Curriculum and Quality Program Development

Course Description: Designed for Program Administrators, Education Specialists and Coaches in early childhood settings including Family Child Care and Early Intervention Programs. This will be a dynamic and rigorous learning opportunity with the capacity to transform administrative and teaching practices and advance professionals based on newly gained assessment knowledge and practice. Through the use of culturally, linguistically and ability sensitive approaches, this leadership course in assessment reflects the college’s deep commitment to the judicious use of child assessments for the benefit of all. Further, this course will support program leaders to utilize assessment data and tools to individualize instruction and link it to curriculum and documentation. Additionally this course will focus on ongoing program improvement and the sharing of information about children’s growth and development with families.

Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree

This course is offered by the Center for Assessment and Screening Excellence (CASE) at Wheelock College.
