Mary Watson Avery Joins the Connected Beginnings Team

Connected Beginnings Training Institute is pleased to announce that Mary Watson Avery has joined our staff as Professional Development Specialist. Her work will focus on the Connected Beginnings’ learning community, supporting this expanding group of Early Intervention, mental health, and early childhood education professionals through the coordination of training, mentoring, and networking efforts.

Mary brings with her many years of experience as an infant and early childhood teacher, director, and consultant in Boston and New York City. She has taught at Harvard University Graduate School of Education, Risk & Prevention program where she also served as the Early Childhood Community Site Coordinator. Prior to joining Connected Beginnings, Mary was the director of Family Connections, a community mental heath outreach program based at Children’s Hospital Boston. She is the co-author of the Family Connections Materials (Avery, Beardslee, Ayoub, & Watts.)

We are delighted to have Mary as part of our Connected Beginnings team!
