Connected Beginnings, in collaboration with 17 participating Early Intervention programs in Greater Boston and Southeast Massachusetts, is currently offering two IN-TIME Training series for Early Intervention practitioners from those areas. The trainings are being held at South Shore Mental Health Center in Quincy and at The Schwartz Center for Children in Dartmouth. Funding for the Quincy IN-TIME comes through a generous grant from Boston Scientific, with scholarship support from Connected Beginnings Training Institute. The Dartmouth series is supported through a grant from the Howard and Geraldine Polinger Family Foundation and Connected Beginnings Training Institute.
The 36-hour IN-TIME training and follow-up consultation is designed to provide Early Intervention practitioners with the tools and confidence to integrate an infant mental health perspective into assessments and interventions with infants, toddlers and their families. The IN-TIME curriculum, developed by Connected Beginning’s Executive Director, Libby Zimmerman, covers an integrated range of topics from infant-toddler brain development and its relationship to babies’ evolving social and emotional experience, to sharpening practitioner observation skills to include observations of babies and their significant caregivers. The series focuses on strengths-based practices and interventions to engage parents and caregivers in creating responsive and nurturing environments for their babies.
Although registration for the current Quincy and Dartmouth IN-TIME series is closed, Connected Beginnings welcomes enquiries about IN-TIME training for your program or region. Please contact us for more information about IN-TIME trainings.
