Top of the Pyramid Skills (TOPS)

The Top of the Pyramid Skills (TOPS) training is a 16-hour professional development experience including 12 hours of training time, and 4 hours of field experience exercises. This course covers the best practice use of the Pyramid Model Approach to Positive Behavior Support as an intensive intervention to address challenging behavior in young children.

This training offers continuing education units for educators, licensed mental health clinicians, and social workers. The content contributes to understanding of

  • QRIS Standard Alignment: Category 1: Curriculum and Learning
  • Core Competency Area: 1: Understanding Growth and Development of Children and Youth

As a prerequisite, all participants must have completed the Foundations of the Pyramid Model course or an equal level of training experience in the Pyramid Model approach.
